Who: Paula, a British girl working in advertising who describes herself as a ‘Frock wearer, Francophile, Champagne Guzzler, Vintage Lover, Nail Enamel Addict’.  We love her already!

What: An online scrapbook for her photography obsession capturing all things delightfully pretty in the world – fashion, film, food, art, interiors, travel (basically anything worth being interested in!).  We adore her classic, feminine style which fits her lifestyle so perfectly as she loves crocheting, independent shops, old-fashioned eateries and baking (definitely check out her post on baking ‘Pastel Macaroons ‘- utterly delectable!).   She also has a lengthy, my-finger’s-hurting-from-scrolling list of links to blogs, must-reads, street style - if you haven’t spent enough time thus far cyber-strolling through her own blog!

This week discover The Cherry Blossom Girl.

Who: Alix, a French freelance stylist and a graduate from a Parisian fashion school (haute couture student for her last year).  Also, a newly wed with her wedding taking place in July!

What: An enchanting photo-rich blog from the city-of-chic itself, Paris.  Within several posts, Alix lets you experience the city with her, including photoshoots from the Street Music Day,the Jardin des Tuleries’s fair, restaurants and boutiques.  Shop Pulse of course adores her fashion-focused posts as Alix, in true fashionista style, shows versatility in her outfits with her ability to wear a whole spectrum of different looks with flawless ease.

Who: Olivia Phillips, a freelancing London fashionista with an eclectic mix of favourite things (including tea and cake, Alice in Wonderland and car boot sales!).

What: Obviously you are given an update of her most recent favourite thing which you will probably then obsess over too!  Currently she’s loving a blog on a romantic entanglement but she’ll introduce you to an array of things, from interior shoots to antique fairs to new labels to anything 80’s!  Unsurprisingly, Shop Pulse’s favourite thing is any post on her outfit (check out her ‘What I Wore For A Week’) but you’ll need to stop by yourself to choose what’s topping your list of things to adore.

Who: Nadia, whose style seems to be inspiring the whole fashion community ATM.

What: A refreshingly mellow spot to gaze away your time adoring the bewitching photographs of Nadia in her effortlessly fashionable outfits, often combining the best of both feminine and masculine fashion (worth a visit even just to admire her hat collection!).  A place your sense-of-style will be ignited by and you’ll be left feeling cultured by the whole experience.

So the end is in sight.  Final lines have been added, final reductions have been made and those final few rails have started to look sparse.  As the dust settles after the impact of The Almighty Summer Sales, Shop Pulse is breathing a sigh of relief that we won’t have to be constantly on guard at our inboxes to find out which shop is offering the hottest deals.  There is, however, a tinge of loss in the air; what a Summer Sale it has been!  So many bargains were had by all!  My best buy has to be my leather pull-string Zara bag for less than ten pounds – it hasn’t left my side since.  Do make us jealous by telling us your hottest buys!  But the end of this season means…

HELLO AUTUMN/WINTER 2010/11.  Magazines have been packed with all the up-and-coming trends for the new season.  We can’t wait for the rest of the new stock to start flooding in as we’re loving the first few trickles in-store already.  Our favourites so far are the shearling aviator jackets, skinny belts creating a waist and adding interest to everything, the ladylike silhouettes proving our own bodies are on trend (yippee!) but also the contrasting masculinity of tailoring.  Already your Personal Stylist requests have been concerning the new season – trust you Shop Pulsers to be one step ahead!

Another popular topic in our Prsonal Stylist requests has been summer wedding outfits.  Coast is a good bet for a wedding outfit if you’re needing to find one in a hurry!  July saw (or didn’t see more like!) many secret celeb weddings taking place – Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, and of course the highly speculated Chelsea Clinton wedding is due anytime.  But keeping their special day private means we are seriously deprived of judging the guests’ outfits, the choice of bridesmaids’ dresses and, most importantly, the bride’s designer gown (I’m sure Penelope looked stunning in John Galliano).  But is hiding away from the paparazzi better than selling out and having a magazine spread of all the details?  You decide.

Shop Pulse has been giggling all week after seeing Toy Story 3 and there has been a distinct cinema buzz in the air.  Premiers of major summer movies like The A-team, Salt and Day and Knight have led to debates over who was best styled on the red carpet (personally I adored Angelina Jolie’s black sequined mini).

Eliza Doolittle, whose cheery, sunshiny tunes we have on repeat, caused a stir by wearing THE SAME OUTFIT to both The A-Team Premier and the London Finale party for ‘The Hills’.   So don’t worry about reworking that outfit you loved to two (or more!) different summer events.  After six seasons of our fave glossy ‘reality TV show’, LC and the gang have called it quits – we’re all going to miss the insight into high-end US fashion.  Easing the pain is the new season of ‘The City’ hitting our screens so we’ll now focus on getting our fashion fixes from Whitney and Olivia (check out her first UK magazine cover shoot on the ASOS.com August magazine).

Last week I was invited to take a peek at the brand new TK Maxx store which has opened on 120 Charing Cross Road. Champagne bubbles were in full flow and we also enjoyed DJs and dancers all kitted out in the latest TK Maxx threads. TK Maxx isn’t normally accessible to those who shop in central London so I’m anticipating that the new store will be a big hit!

One of the new brands that TK Maxx are launching in conjunction with the store opening is Modbox which is highly trend focused. Representing fast paced fashion, it aims to bring out key looks on a monthly basis with themes including Varsity geek chic, upper East side glamour, Military looks and grungy Neo Rocker. Embellished tees, mini kilts and logos were very much a current focal point.  This is definitely a label that would appeal to a younger market, though some of the future Modbox pieces due for launch later in the year are right up my street (think faux fur leopard coats and Nordic style jumper dresses).

The Gold label is also one that had many swooning and includes sought after designer labels such as Stella McCartney, Valentino and even Pucci (with a dress reduced down to £200 from £2000!). The shoe department had some fantastic bargains and keep an eye out, as the store will soon have these gorgeous faux fur ankle boots in at £34.99 – an essential for autumn! How cute are the satchels too!

Thank you to the lovely TK Maxx team for a fabulous evening.  The next morning, eager shoppers were already queuing for what seemed like miles to catch themselves a few bargains – most likely an indication of the store’s future popularity!
